Training
Department members provide the lesson plans and instruction on a variety of training topics such as use of force, Taser use, firearms qualifications, first aid, driving in the Air Operations Area and Emergency Response Team exercises.
External training, travel expense reports, records and the submission of POST reporting requirements are handled by the admin/training coordinator, who also coordinates training that is offered to other agencies, such as field sobriety testing, and arranges for training that is provided by outside instructors, such as emotional survival for police officers and their families.
