District A

Sherry L. Stenerson is a 1991 graduate of William Mitchell College of Law in St. Paul, Minnesota. She has an undergraduate degree from the University of Minnesota, Duluth, in science and elementary education. Commissioner Stenerson is general counsel with Factory Motor Parts Company in Eagan. She is also a Major in the U.S. Army Reserve and served on active duty as a U.S. Army Judge Advocate, at Ft. McCoy, Wisconsin, where she was chief of the Soldier Readiness Section and legal assistance attorney until January of 2007.

In the past, Commissioner Stenerson has served as a corporate and intellectual property attorney and shareholder in both private practice and as in-house counsel. In addition, she worked as a buyer and manager of gourmet food and wine with the Macy's North Division of Federated Department Stores. She has been an arbitrator for the Better Business Bureau Auto Line and has been involved in Junior Achievement and a variety of other community service activities. Ms. Stenerson was appointed by Governor Tim Pawlenty in 2005 to represent MAC District E. She was reappointed in 2007 and now represents MAC District A.

District B

Molly Sigel is currently an active community volunteer and mother of three children. She is a former Government Relations professional who represented a variety of corporations and organizations before state agencies and the Minnesota State Legislature. Sigel served as Director of Government Relations at Dorsey & Whitney, LLP, from 2000-2002 and at Winthrop & Weinstine, P.A., from 1997-2000. She was also Associate Director of State Legislation at the Minnesota Medical Association.

Molly Sigel was appointed to the MAC in January 2005 and reappointed in June 2007 by Governor Tim Pawlenty to represent MAC District B. She is a member of the Finance Development and Environment Committee

Sigel lives in Deephaven with her husband David and their children.

District C

Lisa Lebedoff Peilen of St. Louis Park has been very active in the metro community, serving on the board of Conservation Minnesota and the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities Trustee Candidate Advisory Council. She is past president of the Smith College Club of Minnesota and the University of Minnesota Hillel Advisory Board. She has served on the Governor's Stadium Screening Commission, Hennepin County Library Foundation Board, Minneapolis Jewish Federation Board, Children's Health Care Foundation Board and Hennepin County Park Reserve District Board. She has served in government relations with First Bank System (now U.S. Bank), as an analyst in corporate planning at General Mills and as Minnesota's Tourism Director. Commissioner Lebedoff Peilen represents District C.

District D

Dr. John M. Williams has had a dental practice in North Minneapolis for 23 years. Williams retired from the NFL in 1980 after 12 years of professional play. A private pilot, he was appointed to the Metropolitan Airports Commission in March 2002, by former Govenor Jesse Ventura representing MAC District D.  He was reappointed in March 2003 by Govenor Tim Pawlenty.

Dr. Williams graduated from the University of Minnesota in 1969 with a bachelor's degree in education, and completed his DDS degree from the University Maryland in 1978. Williams is a member and Fellow in the Academy of Forensic Sciences and American Society of Forensic Odontology and served on the Board of Governors. Williams is also a member of Regional 5 D-MORT Team and Minnesota Disaster Dental Identification Team.

Williams is on staff at North Memorial Hospital, Minneapolis. He is a member of the North Memorial Hospital Dental Unit Study Club, Public Health Advisory Committee for the Minneapolis Department of Health and Family Support, and serves on the board of Children's Dental Services of Minneapolis. Williams chair of the North Minneapolis Health Advisory Committee, and he is a member of the University of Minnesota Men's Athletic Advisory Board.

Williams' community service includes: former program chair and board member, Community Action Agency of Minneapolis; past board member, Minneapolis Urban League; and former president, West Broadway Business Association. Williams leads a prison ministry team in which he has been active for 18 years. In 1992, the Minneapolis City Council selected Williams as Volunteer of the Year.

Dr. Williams serves on the Finance, Development and Environment Committee.

District E

Commissioner Andy Westerberg owns a Farmers Insurance Agency in Coon Rapids with four employees and has 28 years of experience covering all lines of insurance. He has an AA Degree from Anoka-Ramsey Community College and a Chartered Life Underwriter Designation from the American College. He also served four terms in the Minnesota House of Representatives and as chair of the House Gaming Division and vice chair of Regulated Industries.

Commissioner Westerberg has served as past president for both the North-Metro Association of Life Underwriters and the Fellowship of Christian Golfers and was a commissioner on the Minnesota Amateur Sports Commission. He is involved in a number of community organizations, including the Spring Lake Park Lions Club, Toys for Joy and the March of Dimes, and is a former volunteer firefighter and is a member of the civil air patrol. Commissioner Westerberg of Blaine represents MAC District E. He is married and has four children.

District F

Commissioner Robert Nelson owns a management consulting firm and serves as the Chairman of the Board of Ballistic Recovery Inc. Nelson has also been president and COO of Wipaire, Inc. in South St. Paul and senior vice president of commercial loans with American National Bank in St. Paul. He has also held a number of positions in marketing, finance and sales, including serving as administrator of sales with Rockwell Aircraft Corporation, sales and marketing with Cessna Aircraft and assistant engineer with McDonald Aircraft. Commissioner Nelson is a single-engine, instrument-rated pilot with considerable aviation and management expertise. He also is a member of the Woodbury Economic Development Authority and the Salvation Army Booth Brown House Advisory Board. Commissioner Nelson represents MAC District F.

Vice Chairman

Vice Chairman Bert McKasy is a partner with the Lindquist and Vennum law firm and has served on the MAC Board since 1999. Former Governor Jesse Ventura originally appointed McKasy, who has a long record of service in both the public and private sectors, to the Commission.  McKasy was reappointed by Governor Pawlenty.

Vice Chairman McKasy was the Minnesota commerce commissioner from 1992 to 1994. Prior to this, McKasy was chief of staff for Senator David Durenberger and a member of the Minnesota House of Representatives. McKasy served on several House committees, including taxes, commerce, judiciary, transportation, banking and insurance. He has also worked with many community organizations. McKasy has been the director for both the Ramsey County Bar Association and the Better Business Bureau of Minnesota. In addition, he is a former president and director of the St. Paul Chamber of Commerce and a former trustee of Children's Hospital of St. Paul.

In addition to serving as vice chairman for the Board, McKasy is chairman of the Finance, Development and Environment committee. He is a graduate of the University of St. Thomas and the University of Minnesota Law School and currently resides in Inver Grove Heights.

Minneapolis Mayor Representative: 1/1/2002 - 1/4/2010 (Term of Mayor who appointed)


Minneapolis (municipal)

Daniel Boivin was appointed to the Metropolitan Airports Commission in May of 2002, representing Minneapolis Mayor R.T. Rybak, and chairs the Board's Human Resources and Affirmative Action Committee.

Commissioner Boivin serves as Executive Vice-President, Chief Legal Officer, and General Counsel for SeeChange Health. Dan also oversees all human resource functions.

Previously, Commissioner Boivin was an attorney and partner for 26 years with a major Minneapolis law firm. He is the former chair of the Minnesota State Bar Association Civil Litigation Council. Commissioner Boivin's community involvement includes pro bono representation of disadvantaged persons, acting as a volunteer judge for the Minnesota State High School Mock Trial Tournament, participation in the Minnesota Legislative Economic Loss Doctrine Task Force and the Minneapolis Charter Commission.

St. Paul Mayor Representative: 2/1/2006 - 1/4/2010 (Term of Mayor who appointed)


District A

Pat Harris was appointed to the Metropolitan Airports Commission in February of 2006, representing St. Paul Mayor Chris Coleman. He replaces the outgoing Commissioner Dick Long.

A St. Paul native, Commissioner Harris was elected to the St. Paul City Council in 1999 and is currently serving his second term. Among his primary issues are controlling property taxes, enhancing public safety and maintaining the overall quality of life in St. Paul. In addition to serving on the City Council, Commissioner Harris is a Vice President at Voyageur Asset Management, a subsidiary of Dain Rauscher. In his capacity at Voyageur, he is active in numerous professional finance organizations.

Commissioner Harris is President of the St. Paul Regional Water Services and he serves as Chair of the St. Paul Public Library Agency Board. He is also a board member of the Family Housing Fund, the St. Paul Riverfront Corporation, and the St. Paul Rivercentre, Convention and Visitor's Authority.

Commissioner Harris graduated from Cretin High School, received his Bachelor's Degree from Marquette University and his M.B.A. from the University of Minnesota's Carlson School of Management.

Outstate - Saint Cloud

Mike Landy was appointed to the Metropolitan Airports Commission on March 1, 2002, and was reappointed by Governor Tim Pawlenty in both 2006 and 2010.  Commissioner Landy chairs the Management and Operations Committee and serves as the board liaison to the Reliever Airports Advisory Council. He represents key airport systems outside the Twin Cities.

Aside from his leadership position on the MAC board, Landy is CEO of Landy Beef International, Inc., Landy Properties LLC., and the Cake, Candy and Wedding Supply Company, Inc. Landy has been in the meat industry for more than 35 years, much of that time fostering export business for American beef.

He also serves as President of the Saint Cloud City Council, Chairman of the Saint Cloud Area Planning Organization, a Commissioner for the Saint Cloud Housing and Redevelopment Authority, and a board member on both the Saint Cloud Area Convention and Visitors Bureau and the Saint Cloud Downtown Council.

Outstate - Duluth

Monaco, of Duluth, owns Monaco Air Duluth, LLC, a full-service,fixed-base operator at the Duluth International Airport serving airline, military, and general aviation customers. Previously, he spent 28 years as an international information technology and business management consultant, including 18 years and as partner and senior executive with Accenture. He holds a commercial pilot certificate. Monaco earned his master's and bachelor's degrees in computer science engineering from Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois. He is also a member of the Lake Superior College's Center for Advance Aviation Steering Committee, the Duluth Workforce Council, and the Miller-Dwan Foundation Board of Directors. Monaco represents Outstate Minnesota.

Outstate - Marshall

Paul Rehkamp has served on the MAC board of commissioners since 1993, when he was appointed by former Governor Arne Carlson.  He was reappointed by Governors Jesse Ventura and Tim Pawlenty.  Rehkamp brings his experience in both professional and civic organization to the MAC.

A funeral home director in Marshall, Commissioner Rehkamp has served as partner and director in companies including WW1, Inc. and World Wide Investors. In addition, Rehkamp served as the Commanding General of the 88th Army Reserve Unit at Fort Snelling.

Over the years, Rehkamp also has been involved with community organizations including the Southwest State University Foundation, United Way and the Chamber of Commerce. He has also served on the Marshall Board of Education, Economic Development Authority and Industries Foundation.

Outstate - Rochester

Commissioner Tim Geisler, of Rochester, is a unit manager in the Department of Finance with Mayo Clinic in Rochester. He has held a number of positions in Finance at Mayo for the past 22 years, including 12 years as Corporate Tax Manager. Previously, Commissioner Geisler was Comptroller with United Financial Saving Bank in Rochester, Accounting Manager for C. H. Robinson Company in Eden Prairie, and an audit manager with the accounting firm of Peat, Marwick, Mitchell and Company (now KPMG) in Minneapolis. Commissioner Geisler earned his bachelors degree in comprehensive public accounting summa cum laude from the University of Wisconsin, Eau Claire.

 

Commissioner Geisler is currently treasurer of Rochester Airport Company which oversees the management of Rochester International Airport. He is Chairman of the Board of Directors of Home Federal Savings Bank in Rochester, serves as Board member and Treasurer of the Rochester Area Chamber of Commerce, and is a member of the Diocese of Winona Priest Retirement Fund Board of Trustees.

 

Governor Tim Pawlenty appointed Commissioner Geisler to the Metropolitan Airports Commission in March 2008. Commissioner Geisler represents Greater Minnesota for the MAC, is married and has two daughters.
