Training Facility
Airport Police train at a state-of-the-art facility for police officers and firefighters in the south metro. The training facility is operated as a joint venture among the Metropolitan Airports Commission and the cities of Edina, Eden Prairie and Bloomington.
The two-structure facility includes two shooting ranges, classrooms, a defensive tactics training room and a seven story fire tower. The Airport Police Department contributed over $1 million of drug forfeiture funds toward building costs.
